Scholarships

Elim offers scholarships designed to help bright and promising learners. Scholarships and bursaries are aids that do not have to be repaid. They may take the form of partial or full scholarships, bursaries, subsidies or fee exemptions.

Full Scholarships

At the beginning of every academic year, the school opens a platform for bright learners in the neighbourhood from a needy background to apply for full academic funding.

Bursaries

The school accepts bursaries assigned to various learners from the government, non-governmental organisations as well as private and humanitarian organisations.

Subsidies and exemptions

For parents with multiple learners, a discount is extended as a service relief after agreement between the parent and the admissions and accounts office.

Requirements

Eligible learners are required to:

Have an excellent track record in academic performance
Apply for the scholarship before the start of the academic year
Provide proof of inability to pay pay or afford school fees
Provide certified references from relevant academic and religious referees.

Guidance and Advice

While we may have provisions for scholarships, please note that the school can only sponsor a limited number of learners. Learners on the scholarship program are expected to maintain high levels of discipline, abide by all school rules and regulations as well as maintain a stellar academic track record.

While making an application attach all mentioned scholarship requirements including but not limited to; certified academic documents, testimonials from referees and a handwritten application dropped in the school’s main office.

Note that scholarship applications will only be accepted if made in person and those sent online will be dismissed and discarded.

How long will it take to get feedback?

Between 5 to 20 working days . After application, all applicants documents are vetted after which applicants are invited for a physical assessment. Feed back will be sent afterwards to all applicants.

How do I know if I am eligible for the scholarship?

Eligibility is determined by the applicants family background in terms of need level, proof of a consistent record of academic excellence, impeccable discipline record, and reference from relevant authorities.

What does the scholarship cover?

This depends on the scholarship panel decision after applicants vetting and assessment results. It ranges from full tuition fee to partial tuition fee and school meals. All these are determined on a case to case situation.

How long is the scholarship valid?

Assessed on a case to case basis and equally determined by the learners compliance to all the set terms and conditions and after a routine review and evaluation by the school administration, the validity varies. It may run for part of or all of the academic period.
